Alumni Terry Smith '02, a St. Louis-based artist whose work explores the intersection of visual storytelling, nostalgia, and popular culture. Through a unique convergence of passion and professional opportunity, Smith has built a career photographing action figures in magical disreality. Drawing inspiration from comic book art, pulp fantasy illustration, and toy design, his work reflects decades of cultural immersion and visual study. This exhibition invites viewers to consider how formative media experiences shape artistic identity, and how visual media can reawaken a sense of wonder across generations. Iron man, Gandalf, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy and more are featured in this exhibition.
