After 18 long months, the curtain is rising once again at the Webster Theater! Join us for a heartfelt Welcome Back Party as we celebrate the grand reopening of our beloved historic downtown theater.
On November 29th, 2023, the theater suffered extensive fire and water damage after a devastating blaze broke out in the building next door. Fire crews from Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove, Duncombe, Stratford, Blairsburg, Stanhope, Williams, and Webster City bravely battled the flames using three ladder trucks and immense manpower to save this cherished community landmark.
Now, after over a year of hard work and community support, the theater has been beautifully restored with upgraded amenities—while maintaining the same affordable, family-friendly pricing that makes movie nights accessible to all.
🎀 The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony featuring remarks from the HERO Board, City of Webster City, the Daily Freeman-Journal, and our dedicated downtown partners who helped make this restoration possible.
🎥 The celebration will lead into a 7:00 PM screening of Lilo & Stitch in 3D, with FREE popcorn for all attendees, courtesy of Karl Webster City.
