People ask us all the time—what makes ATV Sand Wars different from other races? The truth is, we’re not trying to be “different.” We love this sport and back as many events as possible. Most of our riders hit other races too, and we’re here to grow the whole scene together. That said, here are five big reasons you don’t want to miss our event:

The Midwest is known for bringing the payout heat—and Sand Wars delivers one of the largest ATV-based purses out there. Every cent goes right back to the racers. This year, we’re aiming even higher. (Yes, Discovery Channel, we’ll gladly take that series call 😏).

It takes an army to pull this off, and ours is one hell of a squad. Dustin Kerr, Dee Johns, Justin Roy, Josh Bretherton, Michael McEachern, and Logan Zimmermann, along with their families, work around the clock to make sure every racer is taken care of. Sand Wars is a full-time commitment for this crew, and it shows in every detail of the event.
3. The Race 🏁
We’re proud to be the only 4-wide race with a double elimination bracket. Competition is fierce enough that we run it across two full days. More runs. More action. More chances to prove you’ve got it.
4. Show & Shine ✨
Thanks to Wicked Creations, our bike checks come with a car-show vibe. And it’s not just for looks—this part of the event helps raise money for families in need. Racing that gives back hits different.
5. The Park 🌲
Little Sahara State Park is hands down one of the cleanest, best-kept dune spots around. They’ve upgraded camping across the board, so every site is solid. Rangers keep it safe and fair, and the surrounding campgrounds make it feel like one giant weekend family.
