If you’ve tried your hand in oil
painting and want to explore an alla-prima, wet-on-wet approach, with a bonus session, this 2 day workshop will be full of tips on how much paint to use from start to finish to create a layered, vibrant painting.
We will establish light and shadow
values right from the beginning stages with a thin monochrome painting sketch.
From there we’ll talk a bit on color theory and how to build up our painting with thicker, saturated colors from life.
You’ll end the course the following day with time to revisit the partially dried, tacky painting, to add final details that refine or soften edges for an overall finished look.
