Announcing the 3rd Public Creatives Meetup!
The first meetup we had 13 people join us, the second meetup brought 18 people, but numbers aren’t the point; community is.
If we grow large enough we may have to eventually start splitting into smaller groups, but for now it’s an open invitation and we’d love to have a chance to meet our creative neighbors!
Do you paint? See? Craft? Draw? Take photographs? Write? If you’re creative and you’re looking for an excuse to get out of the house and socialize, come join us at @briocoffeehouse in Waynesboro from 5-8pm on Saturday, March 21. Bring a project and work on it, get some feedback, or just meet other creative locals.
During the last meetup I gave a quick tutorial on how to observe and simplify your sketches and creative process. The exercise was intended to help everyone get out of their heads and just enjoy the ‘doing’ of the thing.
I’ll find someone to share a brief demonstration or activity highlighting their craft and creative process, and I think that will be an ongoing thing in future meetings.
