Summary: Haunted by the horrors of World War I, gifted painter John Amory seeks a tranquil life after returning stateside. His new benefactor, Florence Doyle, has offered him a small studio to live and work on the grounds of her husband Quinton's estate. The Doyle's debutante daughter Lilly, fascinated by the artist, eventually becomes his muse which ignites the wrath of her father.
