Equine Nutrition Talk - Laminitis and metabolic issues in horses

We are excited to launch the first of our educational talks in store @surfcoastrural

Its that time of year. Spring has sprung and so has laminitis! We are blesses to have Leah Wellard offer her time to educate and assist us with an evening talk directed at laminitis and other metabolic concerns and how nutrition plays a role in the management of these cases.

Leah has been involved with horses since childhood, competing in dressage, eventing, and show jumping across North America under the guidance of top riders. Her passion for equestrian performance led her to pursue animal nutrition, earning Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Guelph, Canada, and she is currently completing a PhD at the University of Melbourne on dietary fibre requirements in dairy goats. With experience developing feeding programs for thousands of horses, writing for industry publications, and presenting at seminars, Leah now works with Harwood Grains and Stockfeeds in Victoria, formulating feeds, and providing nutritional support to enhance animal health and performance across Australia.
