Basket Weaving Workshop

Learn various basket weaving techniques including twill weaving, triple wailing and braiding.

This class will be making a Woodland Pumpkin basket. You'll start out with a wood base, make a plump pumpkin or a skinny pumpkin, and after weaving you will then add a feather look to the pumpkin. Some will have to take the basket home to finish the feathered look. If you find a weathered stick or driftwood we can add it to your basket. Any level of weaver will enjoy this project, and all materials and tools will be provided. Beginners are welcome. Leave with a basket made by you. Basket making is wet work, so wear some old clothes and bring a small hand towel with a sack lunch.
