📖 **This Week in the Series: Examining Calvinism**
Week 4 – Total Depravity (The “T” in TULIP) In Depth Part 2
Calvinism teaches that because of Adam’s sin, every part of human nature is so corrupted that people are spiritually “dead” and completely unable to respond to God or choose salvation. Regeneration must happen first—before a person can even have faith.
We’ll examine:
- What Calvinists mean by “Total Depravity” (and why it sounds compelling)
- How this doctrine shapes their entire view of salvation (regeneration before faith)
- Key Scriptures Calvinists use (e.g., Eph 2:1, Rom 3:10–12, John 6:44)
- Biblical counterpoints: Is man so dead he cannot respond? Or does Scripture show depraved people can still hear, believe, and be saved through the Gospel?
Come ready to compare what the Bible actually says about human ability, God’s drawing, and how faith comes—without forcing Scripture into a system.
