Every second counts. First Shot Advantage is a performance-driven, post-CCL course built to make your draw from concealment safe, efficient, and repeatable—so you can deliver an accurate first shot under pressure and control the moment.
What you’ll train
** Safe, efficient holster draw & presentation (concealed/duty gear)
** Economy of motion, consistent grip, sight picture, & trigger prep
** Carry methods overview (5 major carry positions) + setup coaching
** Weapon retention fundamentals and “fight-start” mindset
** Live-fire drills: close range, movement, malfunctions, and multi-target work
* Live-fire requirements
* Minimum 125 rounds
Students will shoot single and multiple target strings, with coaching throughout.
Who this is for:
* Newer carriers who have their CCL and want the next step
* Anyone who carries daily and wants a faster, safer, more consistent first shot
* The ideal precursor to a Combat Pistol class
Pre-reqs / safety
* Must have prior basic pistol experience (CCL-level minimum)
* Holster required (no Serpa-style index-finger release holsters)
* Safe gun handling is mandatory. Unsafe shooters will be removed.
Gear list
- Reliable handgun + quality belt & holster
- 2/3 mags (or speedloaders) + mag carrier (recommended)
- Eye/ear pro, brimmed hat, weather-appropriate clothing
- Note-taking kit; hydration
