Wound debridement is the removal of dead and devitalised tissue, particulate matter and foreign bodies from a wound bed and is generally accepted as a necessary precursor to the formation of new tissue.
The importance of debridement in wound management is well known, and its role in the preparation of the wound bed to promote healing is recognised.
This course will assist nurses in understanding wound debridement methods, advantages and disadvantages to each technique and who is authorised to perform these methods.
This will be a hands-on workshop where you will get to participate in wound debridement activities.
P lease read the NSWNMA Education Cancellation, Refund and Catering Policy prior to registering for this course.
Lunch and refreshments are provided.
A CPD Certificate will be provided to attendees at the end of the seminar.
Also check out other Workshops in Redfern.
