A Visit with James Whitcomb Riley

James Whitcomb Riley, the “Hoosier Poet” gained widespread fame performing across the U.S. from 1881-1903.

Dubbed “America’s greatest storyteller" by Mark Twain, Riley is remembered for poems written in rustic Hoosier dialect such as The Raggedy Man, The Old Swimmin' Hole, When the Frost is on the Pumpkin, and more.

All ages are invited to learn a bit of Indiana history and experience a live performance of Riley’s classic verses.
