The Brass City Young Marines will be starting their next recruit class with an orientation/info session on Monday 10/06/24 from 6-8pm at the VFW Post 201 in Waterbury.
The Young Marines is a national youth program for boys and girls, from ages 8 through high school graduation, focusing on developing leadership and citizenship through community service, self-discipline, and living a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
When: Monday, October 06
1800-2000 hrs (6-8pm)
Where: Wheeler-Young VFW Post 201 (located at 2205 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, CT)
What you need to know -
• Arrive at 6:00pm for recruit orientation. Subsequent drills (meetings) will be every Monday from 6pm-8pm. Recruit training lasts a minimum of 13 weeks (or 26 training hours).
• YM Adult Staff will meet with parents and provide information about the program.
• YM Recruits will work with YM Registered Adults and Brass City Young Marine training officers and review basic program guidelines and expectations.

The Brass City Young Marine unit is the original unit that started the entire Young Marine program in 1959 - where it all began! Right here in Waterbury, CT! (We are the only YM unit within 25+ miles of Waterbury, CT)
