Join me in the shop as we discuss the basics of Rigid Heddle Weaving!
We will learn all the essentials to create a small Sampler Runner, using an Ashford SampleIt Rigid Heddle Loom.
This class runs approximately 4-5 hours long. Feel free to pack a lunch for the day.
It requires fine motor skills and repetitive motion using your upper body. Individuals with Shoulder, Wrist or Hand issues should reach out to discuss prior to the class.
Included: Instruction and Materials to use during the class.
Topics Covered:
Warp - These are the Vertical strands under tension runing from the front of the loom to the back
Weft - This is the yarn/fiber we use to work left to right and weave onto the warp
Weaving Basics - Plain Weave, Tensioning, Selvedges and Basic technique.

Limited to 5 participants, Registration will be open until the Business day prior to the class date to ensure supplies have been prepared for participants. Non-refundable deposit for the class is 50% of the class and materials fee. Cancellation policy: Please notify my 48 hours prior to the start of class if you need to cancel. The remaining 50% of the class fee is not refundable for cancellations received within 48 hours of the class as materials have already been prepared. Your remaining 50% will be available as Store Credit only.
