The Thing with Feathers
Molded through a two-year evolution from frat bro cover group to budding powerhouse boy band by Welcsh between 2016 and 2018, ever-changing members and inconsistent style hindered the bands early years. After an initial connection between Welcsh and Hendricks, the addition of Roussell followed in quick succession, cementing the bands lineup and bringing about their debut single, ‘Song of the Nighttime’, in February 2019. The Feathers footing found solid ground soon after the modest success of their debut with ‘Figure It Out’, their sophomore single, released in May of 2019. The infectious hook and pop-sensitive rock sound helped the track amass over a million and a half streams on Spotify since its release, quickly becoming a fan-favorite at live shows and proving a powerful catalyst in reaching an international audience.
Fuzzy Prophet
Fuzzy Prophet is a psychedelic power pop band from Richmond, Virginia. Beginning in 2023 the band released a string of singles and two full-length LPs that combine punk energy, postpunk experimentation, and pop harmonies with tinges of folk and psychedelia. They’re currently working on their third LP while playing shows in Richmond and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Jeff Draco
Jeff Draco is one of indie pop’s newest must-hear artists. After nearly a year of crafting his new EP, Draco “shines with introspective lyricism and lush production” (Notion) on Attitude, released September 13th, mixed and mastered by Record of the Year Grammy-winning engineer Patrick Kehrier. The project follows his 2022 EP Freezing in Hollywood and two 2023 singles: “Letters,” which premiered during his lauded 9:30 Club debut performance, and “Never Gonna Be The Same,” a stellar track released alongside an 8-date headlining tour. With millions of streams and a growing buzz around his live performances, Draco, "one of D.C.'s most popular indie-pop artists" (Washington City Paper), was recently declared “on track to become the next household name” (The Luna Collective). Looking ahead, he continues to unveil his “boldest chapter yet” (Earmilk) through Attitude and a must-see live show.
