The Taste Tour of Washington County will be an epicurean adventure celebrating the many fine establishments in and around Washington County. Over 25 of the area’s finest food and beverage establishments will participate, serving delicious appetizers, entrees, desserts, pastries, and beverages of world cuisines.
Food Helpers, in partnership with local corporate and community leaders, work together to reduce food insecurity for children in Washington County. During the 2024-25 school year over 75,000 LittleMoochi® snack packs were delivered to area schools at over $44,000 per month, totaling $396,000 for the year. Expansion of the program to all districts in Washington County will require $65,000 per month for a total of $585,000 for the school year. Food Helpers has an APP, LittleMoochi®, designed by graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University, which encourages young students to develop healthy eating habits. Elementary schools utilize the APP and the foods, delivered by Food Helpers, to best meet student needs.
