TBP: Karaoke Night

As part of our January 9th social, The Beyond Project is hosting a community food and essentials drive in recognition of National Poverty in America Awareness Month.

This fundraiser directly supports Food Justice DMV, a DC-based mutual aid organization providing food and essential supplies to over 13,000 families across the region.

Food Justice DMV works on the front lines of harm reduction, supporting households navigating eviction pressure, housing instability, and the very real fear of ICE harassment. Many of the people they serve are simply trying to access food, warm clothing, and basic necessities during moments of acute crisis.

All items collected at this event will go directly to Food Justice DMV, supporting families through their ongoing, on-the-ground distribution work.

• Diapers (sizes 5-6)
• Wipes

• Maseca / corn flour (4-5 lb bags)
• Cooking oil (12 oz - canola or olive)
• Black beans (3-5 lb bags)
• Rice (3–5 lb bags)

• Gently used or new winter coats, sweaters, hoodies for all ages
• Warm layers for all ages

Participation is optional - but meaningful. Whether you bring a donation, support the small business hosting us, or simply show up with intention, this is one way we use our social spaces to show up for our wider community.

For anyone new here: this isn’t just a party. The Beyond Project builds intentional social spaces that move beyond the bed - toward community care, accountability, and real-world impact.
