About this Event

Join us in person for a a discussion of:
  • The national movement to allow voting in Pr*son.
  • The progess in DC since Restore the Vote was implemented in 2021.
  • The need for more foundational civic education among incarcerated residents and what is needed to make it effective.
  • And ideas for going forward.

Speakers will include Nicole Porter, senior director of advocacy for The Sentencing Project; Diana Owen, director and principal investigator for Georgetown University's Civic Education Research Lab; and returned citizens Robert Barton and Gene Downing.

This is a great chance for us all to put our heads together and map a way forward to help or incarcerated residents restore their voice and reclaim their power! Don't miss out on the conversation!
