Finding Your Place: Wellness & Connection for DC Newcomers

New to the city? You're not alone. Join us for a 90-minute wellness workshop tailored to help newcomers in DC settle in, find their community, and prioritize their well-being. Whether you moved here last month or last year, this workshop offers a safe space to reflect and connect with others.

• Guided Reflection - Explore your newcomer story and what wellness means in this chapter of your life
• Creative Expression - Use expressive arts and creative materials to map your journey and envision the connections you're seeking (no artistic experience needed!)
• Meaningful Connection - Share insights and build community with other newcomers in small group setting

• Recent transplants to the city (any timeframe welcome)
• Anyone feeling isolated or seeking community connections
• People interested in exploring wellness through creativity and reflection
• Those wanting to meet others with shared newcomer experiences

• All supplies and materials
• Comfortable, welcoming space
• Light refreshments
• A supportive facilitator to guide the experience

No prior art or wellness experience required - this workshop is about process, not perfection. Come as you are and leave feeling more connected to yourself, others, and this city.
