Exploring Your Window of Tolerance Through Art

Do you ever notice that some days it’s much easier to go with the flow, and others it seems like any little thing can set you off? It’s not just you! Our windows of tolerance shrink and expand based on how much capacity our nervous system has to navigate the challenges in our daily lives and interpersonal relationships. In this workshop we will review the basics of the “poly vagal framework” to start to understand what causes us to move in and out of our window of tolerance. We will spend the majority of time using collage to explore and express what it feels like to be inside of and outside of our window of tolerance, what helps us move back into emotional regulation, and how we can work with our nervous system to self-regulate with more ease.
