On February 24, as part of the "Culture vs War" Film Marathon, we will host a special screening of the documentary "Culture vs War." The film is directed by Kadim Tarasov and produced by the "Watch Ukrainian!" Association.
The documentary features renowned artists who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, alongside cultural figures dedicated to active volunteering. "Culture vs War" brings to life the stories of:
- Serhiy Mykhalchuk (Cinematographer, AFU serviceman)
- Akhtem Seitablaiev (Director and Actor, AFU serviceman)
- Serhiy Zhadan (Writer and Musician, Volunteer)
- Taras Kompanichenko (Kobzar, AFU serviceman)
- Antytila (Musicians, AFU paramedics)
- Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov (Photographers, War documentarians)
- Mykhailo Illienko (Film Director, Volunteer)
- Dmytro Linartovych (Actor, AFU serviceman)
- Yevhen Nyshchuk (Actor, Former Minister of Culture, AFU serviceman)
- Yaroslav Pilunsky (Cinematographer, AFU serviceman)
This film marathon marks the fourth anniversary of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. Screenings are being held in cities across the globe to reveal the realities and consequences of the war through the personal journeys of Ukrainians.
The "Culture vs War" Film Marathon was initiated by the "Watch Ukrainian!" Association, with support from the "MHP-Hromadi" Charitable Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
