4) The Visit of Saint Nick
Join us for a cherished, authentic celebration of the true St. Nicholas as the great Bishop of Myra returns to the Shrine! Children of all ages are invited to gather and meet with Saint Nick, who historically embodies the spirit of generosity on his Feast Day, December 6th. Families will learn about this beloved 4th-century Saint—the patron of children and sailors—and have a special opportunity to take pictures with him. Furthermore, each child is invited to engage in a festive craft: creating a decoration for the Shrine's Christmas tree, connecting their visit to the ancient tradition of decorating for Christmastide. This meaningful event is free to attend, but please ensure you RSVP as a family for essential planning purposes to help the Shrine accommodate all who wish to honor St. Nicholas.
