CAN I KICK IT? @ Metrobar

For one night only Shaolin Jazz is taking over the Metrobar for a special IDA Annual Conference & Marketplace edition of their award-winning CAN I KICK IT? series. Come to unwind and witness first-hand a live scoring movie screening experience like no other.

The evening will kick off with a live DJ set, complimentary drink specials, food vendors, and a curated selection of DC-based brands to engage with. Then at 9pm the feature film (voted on by IDA conference attendees) will be revealed and scored live by DJ 2-Tone Jones.The event is free and open to the general public. There will be a section of VIP seating reserved for IDA conference attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees will need to show their conference badge in order to gain access to the VIP section. Additional seating will be available throughout the venue as well.

About CAN I KICK IT?

CIKI? is a film experience catered to the lovers of Kung-Fu flicks, the music they inspired and everything else in between. At each event cult classic martial arts and action films are scored live (scene-by-scene) with a blend of Hip Hop and much more mixed by DJ 2-Tone Jones. To date over 150 different film titles have been screened at CIKI? events featured at the Lincoln Center in New York, Smithsonian National Gallery of Art, SXSW, Salt Lake City Comic Con, PAX East Video Game Convention, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and more.
