CAN I KICK IT? East of the River: “I'm Gonna Git You Sucka"

This summer Shaolin Jazz is bringing their award-winning CAN I KICK IT? outdoor movie experience East of the River for the first time ever for a 3-night series!

The series concludes on Saturday, October 25 at CHBC Artist Gallery for a screening of the blaxploitation, comedy classic I’m Gonna Git You Sucka (R), starring Keenan Ivory Wayans. It will kick off with a guest DJ set at 7pm, followed by the feature film at 8:30pm.

The event is free for all ages and will take place on the lot of the CHBC Art Gallery. It is strongly encouraged for you to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. There will be food trucks and a pop-up bar courtesy of DCity Smokehouse!

CIKI? is a unique film experience presented by Shaolin Jazz that caters to lovers of action flicks, music and everything else in between. At each event cult-classic and contemporary martial arts/action films are scored live (scene-by-scene) with a blend of Hip-Hop, Soul, Rock and more mixed by DJ 2-Tone Jones. Since 2013 over 150 different film titles have been screened at CIKI? events that have taken place at notable institutions, venues and festivals across the map including the Lincoln Center (NY), the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Smithsonian National Gallery of Art, SXSW Festival (Austin), Oakland Museum of California, Toronto Comic Arts Festival, FanX Salt Lake Comic Con and more.
