CAN I KICK IT? (Art All Night) presents "Ghost in the Shell"

As part of Barracks Row Main Streets' Japanese pop art activation for this year's Art All Night celebration, the crew from Shaolin Jazz will present a special CAN I KICK IT? outdoor movie event. On Friday, September 12th at Eastern Market Metro Park they will feature a screening of one of the most iconic Anime films ever made, Ghost in the Shell.

At each CIKI? event action films and martial arts flicks are scored live (scene-by-scene) with a blend of Hip Hop and much more mixed by DJ 2-Tone Jones. The event is free to the public and the feature film will kick off at 9:30pm. Food trucks and beverage options will be available. You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

About Ghost in the Shell

In this Japanese animation, cyborg federal agent Maj. Motoko Kusanagi trails "The Puppet Master", who illegally hacks into the computerized minds of cyborg-human hybrids. Her pursuit of a man who can modify the identity of strangers leaves Motoko pondering her own makeup and what life might be like if she had more human traits. With her partner, she corners the hacker, but her curiosity about her identity sends the case in an unforeseen direction.
