Alexander Straus-Fausto, organist, is acclaimed for his virtuosic technique, vivid musicality, and innovative programming. His performances—ranging from 15th-century keyboard works to cutting-edge contemporary repertoire—are noted for their exhilarating energy and refined sensitivity. Straus-Fausto has created over fifty original transcriptions of major orchestral works, showcasing his deep affinity for the symphonic organ as a limitless medium for artistic expression. His extensive repertoire includes the complete organ works of César Franck, Maurice Duruflé, and Johannes Brahms. Recognized as a rising leader in the field, he was named to The Diapason’s prestigious “20 Under 30” Class of 2023, and featured in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30 list in 2025. He holds degrees and diplomas from the Eastman School of Music, the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, and McGill University’s Schulich School of Music. He currently serves as Principal Organist at the Church of the Epiphany in Miami, Florida, and is the Artistic Director of the Miami International Organ Competition, an emerging global platform for young organists.
