Seussical Jr. features a captivating Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, with Music by Stephen Flaherty and Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. The show was originally Conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Eric Idle, and is based on the timeless Works of Dr. Seuss.
The original Broadway production of Seussical™ was proudly produced by SFX Theatrical Group, Barry & Fran Weissler, and Universal Studios. Step into the fantastical world of Dr. Seuss, where imagination knows no bounds! Seussical Jr. is a vibrant musical adventure that sees beloved characters like Horton the Elephant and the mischievous Cat in the Hat leap from page to stage in a heartwarming tale.
Our whimsical guide, the enigmatic Cat in the Hat, narrates the heartwarming journey of Horton, a kind-hearted elephant who makes an extraordinary discovery: a tiny speck of dust, teeming with life and home to the miniature Whos. Among them is Jojo, a young Who brimming with creativity, whose imaginative "thinks" often land him in a bit of trouble. Horton's extraordinary journey is a double endeavor: he must bravely shield the microscopic Whos from a world full of doubters and impending dangers, all while diligently guarding an abandoned egg, entrusted to his care by the carefree and somewhat irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.
