Pawtuxet River Canoe Clean-up at Pontiac Launch, Warwick

Join us to canoe the river Wednesday evening and clean-up trash along the banks. All are welcome, we will provide gloves, trash bags, trash grabbers, and buckets. Paddlers can launch, and will head upstream (up to one mile) to collect trash, and then can paddle back downstream to haul out back at the canoe launch (This is NOT a one-way trip downstream).

We have a limited number of canoes available for use, so register early! Note: those wishing to use one of our canoes must reserve early online with a $10 deposit that can be refunded in cash at the event.

Folks who wish to bring their own canoes or kayaks are welcome to join us, but must sign a $10 online waiver of liability with the American Canoe Association (that can be refunded in cash at the event).

All paddling participants MUST wear a life jacket.

This clean-up will take place at our Pontiac canoe launch in Warwick. Participants should wear layered clothing to stay warm, bring water, and note there are no bathrooms at the launch site.

We are happy to provide documentation of community service hours if needed.
