Welcome to our Bachata Social Competition!
Let us walk you through the essentials for this year's edition:
📍 Event Format
We’re staying with the tried and tested formula - Jack’n’Jill type of competition.
The entire competition takes place on Friday (7th of November) and may include:
- Preliminaries (only if needed - based on number of participants)
- Semi-Finals
- Finals
Organizers reserve the right to adjust the number of participants advancing to each round based on event logistics.

Competition will be objectively judged by international teachers and judges:
- Michael & Mayra
- Sara & Marco
- Ofir & Ofri
🎯 Competition Divisions
We offer two divisions:
Amateur Division
Open to dancers who:
- Have never taught bachata, even unofficially
- Have never assisted in bachata classes
- Have never done private lessons
- Do not earn income from performing, teaching or showcasing bachata
Professional Division
Designed for individuals who:
- Teach bachata at festivals, schools or workshops
- Perform paid shows, demonstrations or private lessons
- In any way generate income from bachata dancing
If in doubt, competitors may be asked for clarification before acceptance into a division.
🕒 Competition Structure
Preliminary Round
- During the qualifications, randomly selected couples dance in a circle and change every time a song changes - each Follower dances with each Leader (approx. 1 minute each).
- Followers and Leaders will be judged separately by our judges.
- Judges mark YES or NO for progression.
- The evaluation criteria are: dance technique, lead/ follow, musicality, styling and connection overall.
- Qualification results will be announced immediately after the scores are counted.
- The jury will choose the 6-7 best Followers and Leaders.
Semi-Finals
- Randomly selected couples dance in a circle and change every time a song changes, each woman dances with each man (approx. 1 minute each).
- Followers and Leaders will be judged separately by our judges (by giving points).
- The evaluation criteria are: dance technique, lead/ follow, musicality, styling and connection.
- The results will be announced immediately after the scores are counted.
- The jury will choose the 3 best Followers and Leaders.
Finals
- Randomly selected couples dance in a circle and change every time a song changes, each Follower dances with each Leader (approx. 1,5 minute each).
- Followers and Leaders will be judged separately by our judges (by giving points).
- The evaluation criteria are: dance technique, lead/ follow, musicality, styling and connection.
- The results will be announced immediately after the scores are counted.

🎟 Registration & Fees
1. To participate in the competition, you must have a valid PASS for elSol Fall Festival 2025 (VIP/ STYLE/ PARTY PASS) and pay an entry fee of 10 EUR.

2. For those interested ONLY in the competition, we offer a COMPETITION ONLY type of pass. It costs 35 EUR / 150pln.

3. COMPETITION ONLY PASS allows you to enter the competition and take part in a special Competition Class by Michael & Mayra. It doesn’t include other Friday workshops and parties.

5. A valid registration email should include:
Title: ELSOL FALL Social Masters Competition
Details: Name, Surname, Country, Division (Amateur or Pro), Category (Leader or Follower), Information what pass you have - VIP/ STYLE/ PARTY PASS or COMPETITION ONLY PASS, Your Photo.
6. Registration is open only until Wednesday, November 5, 23:59.
7. Competition Only Pass is not subject to regular resale rules. If a participant is unable to attend an event there are two options:
- sell the Competition Only pass to another participant who takes part in the competition
- request a transfer of 50% of the price paid for the pass to a future event (notified until 2nd of November 2025).
8. Competition entry fees are non-refundable.
9. Registering for the competition involves acceptance of the above regulations.

12. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the competition rules and adapt the formula to unforeseen circumstances.
