All hands-on deck! This is no photo-op clean-up dive; we expect to remove a lot of debris! All are welcome in the water and on shore. We are collaborating with the Gulf Islands National Seashores, and Ocean Hour for this massive above and underwater clean up at Ft. Picken's Fishing Pier and Ferry Dock! The National Park Service has agreed to waive our entry fees, and there is no limit to the number of participants, so let's go DO WHAT ONLY WE CAN DO and leave our beautiful underwater eco-system much healthier!!
Muster time is 06:30 with check in, muster and a safety briefing. The current is predicted to be moderate, so be sure to plan your dive and dive your plan.
To participate, select "going" on this event and show up ready to make a difference. Be sure to bring gloves, knife or sheers, and a mesh bag or bucket for trash. We will have some sheers and buckets for those who need them, but supply is limited. This is no cutsie photo-op, this is a chance to make a real difference. All hands-on deck to help preserve this locals favorite dive location we all love so dearly. See you all there!
⚠️ Important Note from the National Park Service:
Participants will not receive FREE entry to the park unless they complete the paperwork online before the event. Please visit volunteer.gov to “apply” and fill out the volunteer agreement in advance.
