Blessing of the Animals / St. Francis Day

Join us on the front lawn of the church as we bless our beloved animals and celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Bring your furry, feathery, and scaly friends (properly leashed or caged). You may also bring your favorite stuffed animals and photos of beloved pets. In case of rain, we will bless animals in the Parish Hall. Evening Prayer will follow in the church at 6:00 p.m.

O God, who dost ever delight to reveal thyself to the childlike and lowly of heart: grant that, following the example of blessed Francis, and aided by his prayers; we may count the wisdom of this world as foolishness and know only Jesus Christ and him crucified; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
