Let's combat this ice outside with connection, creativity and action! Join us in the makerspace on Tuesday evenings in February from 6-8 pm to create small 'Random Acts of Kindness' type items we can distribute randomly throughout the community!
We will start with 3D printed whistles! Who doesn't love a whistle! Great for anyone who finds it out in the wild ready to use for alert, action or just for fun!
We will need donations to cover the cost of printing the 3D items, bagging them, and printing tags to remind whoever finds them to post to our page. Let's bring people together and spread some love instead of freezing each other out while its freezing outside!
Our fundraising goal for this project is $500. Any excess will be used for suicide prevention/postvention programs.
Donate what you feel compelled to donate (every $1 matters!), come in to see how the whistles are printed and help package, or join us as we distribute them in the community.
We will document this fun with videos of items being made, packaged, distributed- come help us out and learn more about what we do - both for survivors of suicide loss through support groups and programs and for our community with an accessible makerspace waiting for you to find your niche.
