Join us for a truly breathtaking experience as we celebrate the winter solstice at RSPB Arne, as featured on BBC Springwatch.
This is a unique opportunity to mark the shortest day of the year in one of the region’s most stunning and tranquil landscapes. The winter solstice marks the official start of winter - the longest night and the moment when the days begin to lengthen again.
What better way to embrace this powerful natural event than by connecting with the peace and beauty of the natural world at RSPB Arne? As we wander through the reserve, you’ll have the chance to experience the stunning views over Poole Harbour as the sun rises, gently illuminating the landscape.
You’ll be surrounded by the quiet, stillness of the reserve as the day begins, creating the perfect environment for reflection and connection with nature.
The guided walk will begin at 7:00am and will wind through ancient woodland and heathland, heading towards the shoreline in time to witness the magical sunrise over the harbour. Along the way, our guide will share insights about the wildlife and landscape of the reserve to add to this special experience.
This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, embrace the serenity of the season and celebrate the winter solstice in a truly memorable way.
