Alistair is an English singer songwriter who performs as a solo artist and as part of a hard driven folk acoustic roots band.
He is an ambassador for the country’s original music and live performance scene and has played with and alongside some of the country’s best known artists.
The band play hard-driven freak-folk steeped in psychedelia, country-punk and urban blues – you won’t know what to call it but you’ll want to keep hearing it. Alistair’s raw vocal-guitar sound is taken to new dimensions by an actual wizard, whose soul-tripping electric cello sweeps you from rock to flamenco via trance and whale song. Add percussion, grunge bass and some Nigels, and the result is a musical oddity of strange and rare beauty.

"… Alistair is one of the best musicians in the country. Definitely worth travelling for." ~ Tom Robinson’s Festival Preview, Radio 6
"… A unique and wholly original talent and after having seen him play live on a number of occasions, including a session on the programme, I’m very happy to confirm that........If you’re a fan of acoustic music that’s firmly rooted in the Troubadour tradition then you’ll enjoy Alistair’s music." ~ Phil Jackson, BBC Introducing
"I’d heard a lot of reports about this act… From the most fresh-faced youth to the most ingrained old blues fanatics, the reports were always good. Not only that but they were delivered with a genuine sense of excitement… every time. Alistair’s guitar work is impeccable and his vocal melodies are both controlled and powerful." ~ Malcolm Roundle, Wedgewood Rooms Gig Review
"Fantastic..! Check out the website, get the dates and go and see them...they're a cracking act." ~ John Cuthill, BBC Radio
"If you like the easy appeal of David Gray, the harmonies of Turin Brakes, the intrigue of Jeff Buckley or the haunting depths of Tom McRae, then the idea of combining these with the infinitely re-visitable melodies of early Counting Crows and rooting them firmly in a foundation of Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell is likely to appeal to you." ~ GigBase Magazine
"Alistair has a unique and wholly original talent. His live performances are creating a serious stir in the music scene and generating a dedicated following wherever and whenever he performs. His exceptional gift has attracted the collaboration of some of the finest up and coming musicians to create a sound that is extraordinarily rounded and full. There is little doubt that he is destined for greater things." ~ MusicEye Magazine
