Paper Botanicals Collage Workshop with Sally Hunter
Join us with tutor Sally Hunter as she returns to bring her wonderful vibrant paper workshops to Southern Maltings.
Paper Botanicals – a vase of flowers or a favourite houseplant – create a beautiful botanical in paper.
This workshop is all about your creating your own floral masterpiece. Whether you love the green shiny curves on a monstera plant or the delicate petals of a foxglove, Sally will immerse you in the art of collage to create a beautiful piece of unique and personal botanical art.
Creating art with paper is fun and accessible to everyone, whether you consider yourself to be an artist or not. With Sally’s help, you will choose colours and textures from magazines and Sally will guide you to make your own unique artwork for framing and display. Join her in a relaxed and friendly environment and you’ll make an artwork you will be proud of!
Sally is a local artist who has recently moved to Ware. She has worked in Art related environments in London for many years and now focus on running collage workshops locally.
Sally started out making portraits of pets and now also creates people, botanicals and landscapes – there are no limits as to what you can make with collage!
All you need to bring to the workshop is your chosen image, either printed out or on your phone or tablet. If you are unsure what to collage, bring a few suggestions and images you love and she can help you choose. Sally will also provide some ideas and examples to inspire you in your work.
All other tools and materials are provided.
Your finished piece will be A3 in size and you have the option to purchase the workshop on its own or buy an additional ticket for a mount on its own, or a frame and mount to take your piece home for instant display. Mounts and frames are charged at cost, which is £3.50 for a mount or £17.50 for a frame. Just click how many you would like at checkout.

The workshop is being run with a maximum capacity of 10 and will run for 3 hours on Saturday 21st March from 6.30pm – 9.30pm at a cost of £35 per head to include a glass of fizz to help get your creativity flowing.
The sessions will be held in our south cowl with access via stairs or a lift. which is on the ground floor.

Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998).
