8:30am to 5:30pm both days. Please be on range by 8:00am for set up and safety / med brief.
Participants in this course should have a core understanding of marksmanship fundamentals and strong weapons handling skills. Building on these fundamentals, participants will be instructed in high performance skills and will practice techniques to enable them to successfully perform in firearm engagements.
Course description:
“Real” Speed Pistol
This course is about learning to shoot fast and accurately at realistic speeds…..the speeds that actually need to happen when the target isn’t standing still indefinitely. The techniques of what it takes to shoot 4,5 or even 6 shots per second ACCURATELY will be discussed in great detail and the student will have a better understanding of what that actually takes to accomplish. It is designed around the ultimate and equal balance of accuracy and speed that is applicable just as much to LE/Military training as it is to practical shooting competition. If you carry/use a handgun in any way, shape or form and you flat out want to be a better more realistic shooter come take this class taught by a World Champion/ Former Police-SWAT Officer and you will benefit.

Robert Vogel is a Professional Shooter who has won 3 World and 24 USA National Championships in three disciplines of practical shooting and holds numerous records in such events. He has also been a Police Officer in Ohio for over 20 years with 8 1/2 years as a full time officer, during which time he was a SWAT team member and department firearms instructor.
EQUIPMENT LIST:
-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol
-5 magazines minimum
-Minimum of 1000 rounds of brass cased ammunition (no steel cased ammunition)
-Belt mounted, OWB, IWB, AIWB kydex holster —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. NO BLACKHAWK SERPA, UNCLE MIKE’S, FOBUS, or ALIEN GEAR, holsters.
We recommend: Blackpoint Tactical, Black Center Tactical, Dark Star Gear, Safariland, Raven Concealment, G-Code, Tenicor.
-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.
-Ammunition dump pouch (optional) – we will have several on hand to loan.
-Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
-Electronic ear protection & earplugs
-Notebook and pen for note taking
-Humble willing to learn attitude
– Lunch, snacks, hydration to last through out the day
PLEASE NOTE – There is a $50 range fee per person for this class ($25 per day) due on the first day of class in cash.
