Burns Night session

I first met Jamie at Nan’s when he would come in to drink tea and work. After the 5th time of seeing him I asked who he was and he told me, followed by, “I play the Uilleann Pipes and I’m looking for a session.” From there we started the session at Nan’s. Sometimes there were three of us, sometimes just me and him. Over the years the session grew, and with other folk nights, has become integral to the fabric of Nan’s and it was Jamie’s passion and genuine desire to be around others sharing music that created that. I’m so grateful for the time I was able to spend with him. He became a cherished part of my life and we will all miss him.
