Fascinating Talks: Immigration detention: a view from inside
Located off the Bath Road next to Heathrow Airport, IRC Harmondsworth is Europe's largest immigration detention centre,
holding up to 676 men under immigration powers. Similar in security to a Cat B (High Security) prison, few outsiders are
aware of what conditions are like inside.
In this talk Jonathan will draw on his experience as a volunteer befriender to
give a sense of what life is like there.
