Light the Village ~ Caroling and Local Stories

This celebration comes to town as the beginning of trying to bring a bit more Christmas cheer back into the Village.

Those who have lived here for awhile may remember when there was some decorating of the Friendship Block, a night of evening shopping, caroling, a Christmas tree, etc. The Waldoboro Economic Development Committee has been discussing how to bring a bit of that back to downtown, and just who should actually do it.

This year will start small. Some easy solar Christmas trees will adorn Main Street, and a cheerful gathering will take place in front of the old Custom House. We will have out some cards for people to say what they would like to see in the future, and also for those who may wish to help brainstorm and/or raise funds to help make something happen. This is to promote community here in town.

This is timed to be the same day as a few other events in town, so please enjoy a Christmas-filled day in Waldoboro!
