About the event

Gardening for Biodiversity with Native Plants
Discovery how native plants can restore biodiversity, strengthen landscapes, and help address climate change, while creating a beautiful garden. Hear from expert Amy Meltzer, co-chair of the Mass Pollinator Network, active member of Grow Native Massachusetts, and on the Research Team of Elders Climate Action. She has been researching and growing native plants for over twelve years. In this talk, Amy will focus on the current biodiversity crisis; the evolutionary history among native plants, insects, birds and fungi, and how these interdependent relationships among diverse species are necessary for their survival. Co-hosted by the Beebe Library, in-person at the lecture room.

Free event, but space is limited, so registration is required: https://wakefieldlibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/gardening-for-biodiversity-with-native-plants-with-the-sustainability-committee-in-person/
