Drumming up the Summer Solstice Sun

We will celebrate Summer Solstice by ‘drumming up the sun’. Please brings your drums, rattles tambourines or other percussive instruments, and if you like, something for the altar.

We will be meeting down by the ruins from 04:20 onwards, with sunrise at 04:35 🌅 You may want to move up on to the platform for sunrise, or stay down lower.

Participant numbers at these very special events are steadily increasing and it's wonderful to see a community of sacred drummers growing. We need to pay particular care and attention to the historic site itself and nearby residents, making sure our actions are respectful and considerate and aligned to the ethos of the events.

Please:
- be careful to take everything with you when you leave, especially litter - only footprints should remain.
- do not allow children to climb on ruins, as explicitly requested on signage around the site
- avoid parking where it might obstruct local traffic.
