Course Description: Are you looking to incorporate digital removable prosthodontics or elevate your existing offerings? This intensive one-day course provides dental professionals with a comprehensive understanding of digital removable denture design, focusing on both complete dentures and Chrome Cobalt Removable Partial Dentures (RPDs) using exocad software. Led by the renowned Daniel Alter MSc MDT CDT, participants will engage in didactic lectures exploring the essential "WHY" behind restoring the oral environment with removable prosthodontics, covering foundational principles, biomechanics, and patient considerations. The "HOW" of digital fabrication will be demonstrated through detailed exocad design workflows, including scanning protocols and manufacturing considerations. The afternoon will feature hands-on training sessions where participants will apply learned concepts, actively designing full dentures and RPD frameworks within the exocad environment. This course is ideal for dental technicians and dentists seeking to integrate cutting-edge digital workflows into their removable prosthodontics practice.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the Rationale for Removable Prosthodontics: Articulate the biological, functional, and esthetic "WHY" behind restoring patients with complete and partial removable dentures, including the long-term implications for oral health.
2. Grasp Digital Workflow Fundamentals: Describe the end-to-end digital workflow for removable prosthodontics, from initial intraoral or model scanning to final manufacturing.
3. Navigate exocad Denture Module: Confidently utilize the exocad Denture Module for designing full upper and lower dentures, including tooth placement, gingival sculpting, and base plate generation.
4. Master exocad RPD Module: Apply the exocad RPD Module to design complex Chrome Cobalt frameworks, including surveying, block-out, clasp design, major connector selection, and rests.
5. Identify Key Design Principles: Recognize and apply fundamental design principles for both complete dentures (e.g., occlusal schemes, border molding concepts) and RPDs (e.g., support, retention, stability) within the digital environment.
6. Prepare for Digital Manufacturing: Understand the requirements for exporting exocad designs for various manufacturing methods, including 3D printing and milling, for both denture bases and RPD frameworks.
7. Evaluate Digital Designs: Critically assess digitally designed removable prostheses for functional, esthetic, and biomechanical correctness prior to fabrication.
