Course Description

This course is designed to introduce 4th year dental students to the fundamentals of CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology and digital dentistry. Participants will learn how to incorporate digital workflows to enhance productivity, offer new services, and improve patient care.

Course Objectives

• Introduction to basic crown and bridge design, single crown design, 3-unit bridge design and simple bite splint design using DentalCAD’s photorealistic photo and video preview tools.
• Learn restorative design workflows using exocad’s tooth libraries and our new AI Design.
• Digitize a denture reline/rebase quickly using the copy denture feature.
• Smile designs with the Smile Creator including Trusmile™ Photo and Video, duplicate denture using 360-degree scan and dentalshare.
• Utilize dentalshare to collaborate with laboratories, design centers and manufacturing facilities.
• One on one consultation with Bryant Dental for sales and custom fittings of loupes, headlights and more.
