Kaitohu Wairua is a series of three workshops designed to strengthen your matakitetanga, deepen your ability to read and interpret tohu, and guide you in using your tinana and hands as vibrational instruments for healing. Open to all—kairongoā, bodyworkers, counsellors, holistic health practitioners, and those drawn to the ancient ways of healing—no prior experience is needed, only an awareness of your intuition and a heartfelt desire to support the healing of others.
Understand how your body is a sacred Whare Kura.
Before Tane ascended the aka to retrieve the 3 kete of knowledge, he created a whare kura to hold the taonga on his return.
This workshop invites you into deeper remembrance of your spiritual role as a conduit and vessel for healing. Grounded in the wisdom of Rongoā Māori, you will be guided through foundational teachings and practical exercises to help you attune and align with your matakitetanga.
This two-day immersive experience blends theory, embodied practice to help you step into a healing role as a Kaitohu Wairua.
Before we can read and interpret tohu, we must embody these three sacred pou:
1. TE WHARE KURA - Preparing the Vessel
Clear and align the body to become a sacred house for higher learning/Light. You’ll explore practices in te wao nui a Tane (the forest) to clear, ground, and attune your tinana/body.
2. TE MANAWA - Listening Through the Spiritual Heart
Discover how your spiritual heart acts as your compass — guiding you with resonance and Truth. You’ll learn how to attune to the felt sense of what is tika (aligned) and pono (correct) and what is not.
3. WAIRUA TAPU - Entering Sacred Presence
Learn how to dissolve mental, emotional, and energetic attachments to enter a state of sacred presence (SSP). In this state of neutrality, you become a true vessel for healing — timeless, weightless, and immersed in a vastness of space.
Your body is both a conduit and a vessel — a living channel through which healing energy flows. You will learn how to work with your body in this way, preparing it to receive and regulate the subtle current of healing.
Your hands are instruments of healing — guided by wairua to sense, receive, and interpret the tohu that arise within and around the body. Through gentle, intuitive touch, you’ll learn how to read the subtle language of energy and respond with clarity, neutrality, and trust.
Engage in gentle yet profound paired and small-group exercises. With guided facilitation and shared reflection, you’ll experience how to perceive energy throughout the body — recognising thermal shifts, energetic congestion, and resonance patterns.
This workshop is for kairongoā, healers, bodyworkers, and intuitive practitioners who want to expand their kete of healing.
Reserve your spot in our upcoming two-day workshop. Spaces are limited to a small, intimate rōpū to honour the depth and wairua of this sacred work.
**All participants will receive a tohu (certification of acknowledgement) upon completing this workshop.
