Drench resistance has been causing problems and forcing change on sheep properties for a number of years – but cattle systems are not immune either. The most recent data shows that combination drench resistance in young cattle systems is widespread.

Come along to this on-farm workshop at Ngati Awa Station to look at farm system and management approaches to dealing with worm challenge and beating drench resistance.

The day will cover:
• Wormwise basics – know your enemy
• How nutrition, forages and grazing management strategies can be integrated to drop worm challenge
• Practical monitoring strategies to know you’re on track
• Choosing the right drenches for your situation and ways to keep them effective.
