This free, family-friendly event is perfect for nature lovers, curious kids and anyone keen to learn more about the local environment.

🔍 Receive a warm welcome and find out how to use the iNaturalist app to record your discoveries. Volunteers will be on hand to explain the work of Landcare and answer any of your questions.

🪳Try your hand at identifying waterbugs at our tables set up with trays of wetland water, waterbug posters and magnifying glasses. Discover why these tiny creatures are vital for a healthy ecosystem.

ℹ️ Visit the council sustainability van by the lagoon’s edge to listen for frogs and learn to identify their calls. See local real live lizards, and chat with our experts about the fascinating frogs, lizards and turtles found in and around the wetlands.
