Maurice Corlett will be our featured writer in November.
Maurice Corlett lives and writes poetry and prose in Wagga Wagga on the land of the Wiradjuri people.
As well as writing of his life in Australia, his thoughts often return to the East Sussex coast where he was born and raised.
Maurice has been a regular contributor to fourW: new writing and has been part of the poetry selection process for a number of
years. He reads in the Open Mic at most Booranga Writers' Centre Readings in Wagga.
Maurice has had a prose poem 'Breakwater' published in an American poetry anthology Earth, Fire, Water, Wind.
Many years ago a short story of his, 'Reunion In Gunyah Creek' was chosen by Frank Moorhouse for the Penguin anthology The State Of The Art.
He is looking forward to sharing his work at the Ambo Gallery.
We'll have our usual Open Mic - in which you are all warmly invited to participate.
