Free History Program: Wadena County Flour Mills
Please join us in welcoming Jim Aakre to the Wadena City Library on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 6pm. He will present a talk on Wadena County's historical flour mills.

Our area mills harnessed the Leaf River, transforming pioneer harvests into essential flour. These bustling hubs anchored early settlements, grinding out the survival and growth of Minnesota’s rugged frontier.
