The annual Christkindlsmarkt takes place for the first year in

Waconia, MN, as we celebrate our 20th year. This event draws people from all over the

Midwest and is modeled after the traditional German, open-air Christmas markets.

The festival features German holiday foods, decor, gifts, and entertainment for the

entire family and is festively decorated for Christmas. It is the family event of the

season.

The festival will run Friday, Dec. 5 (noon - 7 pm), Saturday, Dec. 6 (10 am-7 pm) and

Sunday, Dec.7 (10 am-5 pm) and the next weekend Dec.12 (noon – 7 pm), Dec. 13 (10

am – 7 pm), and Dec. 14 (10 am – 5 pm). The festivities begin with the Grand

Opening Program featuring our Christkindl “the Golden Angel”, who will formally

open the festival, plus Saint Nicolas, and the Christmas Reindeer arrive to greet Saint Nicolas and Friends! For more information about Minnesota Christkindlsmarkt in Waconia, and to see
