DESCRIPTION: The beautiful McLennan County Courthouse has witnessed all kinds of Waco History from lynchings to jail breaks to televised murder trials. Join Waco Walks and The McLennan County Bar Association for a Talk & Tour at the Courthouse. Justice Matt Johnson, who has written a book about the courthouse, will give the talk and then we will have a chance to tour the historic courthouse. The Talk & Tour will be September 20 at 9:30. Free continental breakfast will be provided at 9:30. Talk & Tour will start at 10. Continuing Legal Education Credit will be offered to all lawyers present. Bring your family. Children welcome! Meet up at 9:30 in the rotunda of the McLennan County Courthouse, 501 Washington Avenue. Most of this Talk & Tour will be inside the courthouse building, so no pets please.

MEET UP LOCATION: Rotunda, McLennan County Courthouse, 501 Washington Avenue.
WALK LENGTH: This will be an inside tour, so not sure of the mileage, but expect to be walking/standing for around an hour to an hour and a half.

ACCESSIBILITY: The tour will involve going up and down steps and stairs within the courthouse. There are elevators and ramps available throughout the courthouse.
HYDRATION: The walk will be indoors, so hopefully not too hot. If you bring a water bottle, make sure it can be closed with a tight lid so no spills.
DOGS: No pets except service dogs please since we will be inside the courthouse.
